Description:

The  Sr. Proposal Specialist will be a key contributor on the Marketing team, accountable for analyzing opportunities, preparing responses, and managing the proposal completion process in accordance with Company standards, sales strategy, and customer requirements. They will utilize project management, writing, and marketing skills to ensure timely submission of well-written, compelling proposals in a dynamic and fast-paced organization. Ultimately, this position is responsible for developing proposals in response to potential client's requests that accurately reflect Company's services and capabilities and help the company retain clients and win new business.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of request for proposals, review and interpretation of key proposal requirements, and preparation and formatting of proposal document.
  • Utilize Qvidian proposal software to determine and prepare responses to proposal questionnaires.
  • Drafts and coordinates RFP/RFI responses; completes and updates technical proposal documents; and responds to and leads all proposal efforts.
  • Interfaces with management, sales, and subject matter experts to strategize, review, evaluate, and prepare responses that meet client-specific requirements and accurately reflect the established sales strategy and company standards.
  • Manages the proposal database, crafts responses to questions, uploads information to the database, and performs an annual review of responses.
  • Assists with proposal reporting.
  • Conducts FOIA requests and analysis; manages and reports on the post-proposal decision.
  • Assist with other marketing initiatives to support sales prospecting and revenue opportunities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, majors in Marketing or Business preferred
  • 3+ years prior proposal management experience in the health benefits industry
  • 3+ years prior experience in a senior or sales support role
  • Prior pharmacy benefits management experience preferred
  • Expertise in MS Office Products, specifically in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with Qvidian or other proposal software preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to be flexible and manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to listen, learn, share, and grow as part of a larger creative team
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check
