The Claims Processing Associate is responsible for managing the reconciliation of payments to Specialty Pharmacy claims from various sources and verification of proper claims processing to adhere to plan specific benefit coverages and programs.


  • Posts daily payments from clients, members, and third party payers
  • Matches claim data records in billing system to ensure proper billing and reporting
  • Organizes and maintains claim records for future reference
  • Reviews and insures the validity of incoming data for Medicaid and member reimbursement, correcting information as needed and processes the account for payment
  • Assists in the documentation of procedures used for reference and training
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor


  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree or two years relevant experience highly preferred
  • Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access required
  • Working knowledge of health insurance or Specialty pharmaceutical industry highly preferred
  • Self-motivated and able to process large claim volume with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills and highly detail oriented
  • Able to make sound judgments on own with little supervision
  • Good interactive skills with employees, supervisors, referral sources, and consumers
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Must be 18 years of age
